Healthcare systems are designed for the providers, and leave people feeling like a passive and ill-understood patient. We think this can and should be different, by putting you and your loved ones at the heart of care.
What?
With Ditto. Our technology allows everyone to capture, explain, and share meaningful interactions about health. Today, that is an AI-powered app that clarifies any healthcare encounter and document. Soon, we grow towards a platform that allows you to keep track of your own healthcare, invite loved ones to follow your care journey, and vice versa. In short: we want to build the Polarsteps for Health.
Who?
A young yet turbo ambitious and experienced team, with little patience for the status quo. We're driven by a shared mission and excited about building fast and purposefully. Days after launch, we reached #1 healthcare app in the Netherlands and got covered by 15 newspapers. This was nice validation, but mostly proof that what we're trying to achieve matters for many. How it works
💬 Help improve Ditto’s AI summaries and make healthcare easier to understand
At Ditto, we make healthcare understandable — for patients and their loved ones.
Our AI-generated summaries are already highly appreciated by doctors and patients alike. But we can always do better, and that’s where you come in.
We’re looking for Dutch-speaking medical students (preferably in or past your clinical rotations) to help us evaluate and improve Ditto’s AI models. Your work directly contributes to making our summaries even clearer, more reliable, and more useful for Ditto-users.
🧠 What you’ll do
You’ll help refine Ditto’s AI evaluation framework by reading and assessing real medical conversations and their AI-generated summaries. Using our custom-built annotation tool Alakazam, you’ll review, label, and give structured feedback that helps our models learn faster and perform better.
This project takes about eight hours in total:

Four hours on-site at our office in Rotterdam, where you’ll meet the Ditto team, receive hands-on onboarding and annotate together with other students.

Four hours from home, or on-site if you enjoy the office
In this first evaluation phase, you’ll join a large group of fellow medical students. We have over 10,000 summaries to annotate! After this project, we expect to open longer-term working student positions, ideal for anyone eager to stay involved in Ditto’s next phase of growth.
Who you are

A medical student (preferably in or past your clinical rotations)

Interested in AI, digital health, or data science

Meticulous and curious about how medical information can be communicated more clearly

Fluent in Dutch and comfortable with medical terminology
Experience with AI tools (like ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot) is a plus
