Everything the doctor said, to read back
Things often move fast in the consultation room. With Ditto you still have the conversation afterwards, as a summary and a recording.
Can you record a conversation with your doctor?
Yes. In the Netherlands you may record a conversation you take part in, even without the other person’s permission. It is still good to ask. Ditto has a screen for that. You show it to your doctor. It says what Ditto is and why you want to record.
How recording with Ditto works
Open Ditto when the appointment starts and tap record. Put your phone on the table. Tap stop when you are done. Ditto turns the conversation into text and shows who said what: the doctor or you. Then Ditto writes the summary. You can even record before you have an account.
What’s in the summary?
The summary is written in plain language. It shows what was discussed, which diagnosis and medicines were mentioned, and the next steps. Ditto explains difficult words. Some topics link to Thuisarts.nl or kanker.nl for more. You can also read the summary in English, Turkish or Arabic.

Care shouldn't depend on one person remembering everything.
