Practical information and help with breast cancer
Woman (35)
Early-stage breast cancer
I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. From that moment, I was overwhelmed by everything coming at me. In a short time, I received so much information from doctors and nurses that it was hard to remember everything properly. I found a lot of information and peer support platforms online, but it was difficult to know what was really accurate and what applied to me. There are all kinds of apps that help you, for example, manage your energy better, but what I really struggled with was how to keep family and friends informed about what was happening.
I realized I didn’t want to keep talking about my illness all the time, even though I knew my family and friends wanted to know how I was doing. On the other hand, they sometimes found it hard to keep asking about it. That’s why I started recording conversations with my doctor, so I wouldn’t have to think again at home about what was actually said. This way, I always had a clear overview of the most important information.
With Ditto, I automatically got a clear summary of the conversation, which I could easily share with the people involved. That really took a lot of mental pressure off me. I don’t have to remember everything myself and can inform others without having to repeat it all the time. This allows me to focus my energy on what’s most important now: my treatment and recovery. I can really recommend Ditto to anyone in a similar situation.
