1. How does Ditto work in practice?

During an appointment, you ask whether you can record the conversation. Afterward, Ditto creates a clear summary you can revisit. You can also take photos of medical letters to get easy-to-understand explanations.

2. When should I use Ditto?

Use Ditto before, during, and after appointments, especially when you want to remember details, understand medical language, or share information with people you trust.

3. How do I share summaries with loved ones?

You can securely share your summaries via Ditto Loved Ones directly within Ditto. This uses end-to-end encryption. You can also use messaging apps. You decide what to share and with whom.

4. What happens to my recordings and information?

Your data is stored securely and only on your device. You stay in control of your information.

5. Is Ditto free to use?

Yes. Ditto is currently available for free to download and use.

6. Can Ditto help if I don’t speak the language well?

Yes. Ditto translates medical documents and explanations into language you can understand, helping bridge communication gaps.

Answers to common questions about Ditto.

Does Ditto give medical advice?

No. Ditto summarises what was said during a consultation or what is written in a medical document. It does not add, interpret, or recommend anything beyond what the healthcare provider shared. The output is fully grounded in the original conversation or document.

Can patients trust the summaries?

We built an extensive AI engine with evaluation and safeguard frameworks. If we suspect any errors in a summary, we don't return output. Our in-house doctors review and validate AI quality, and we collaborate with academic institutions and hospitals to continuously improve. Patients also always have the full recording to listen back to.

Can I access my patient recordings?

Recordings and summaries are only stored on the device of the patient. Some patients may ask you to cross-check the generated summary. If they want, they can share it with you directly, either by adding you to their Care Circle or sending it through another communication channel.

Does it work with all types of consultations?

Ditto works with any in-person consultation. GP, specialist, midwife, physiotherapist, psychologist. It captures the conversation regardless of specialty or setting.

How is patient data handled?

All data stays on the patient's device. When AI processing is needed, we use secure EU servers and delete the data immediately after. We're fully GDPR compliant and can't access patient recordings or summaries.
