Trusted CCLG information, right inside Ditto

When you record a consultation with Ditto, you get a clear, plain-language summary of what was said. From now on, that summary can also point you to relevant health information from CCLG.

If chemotherapy came up during a young person’s appointment, a link to CCLG's chemotherapy information appears alongside the summary. One tap takes you straight to the right page on the CCLG website, no searching, no wondering whether what you've found is reliable.

The Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group

The CCLG is the UK charity for childhood and young people's cancer. Its members are the doctors, nurses and researchers working in the specialist treatment centres across the UK and Ireland.

CCLG produces a large library of free information for families and healthcare professionals. It covers cancer types, treatments and procedures, side effects, everyday life during treatment (eating, school, physical activity), life after treatment finishes, and support for when there isn't a cure. 

Everything is free to download or order as a printed booklet, and the pages can be read aloud or translated into over 100 languages.

The material is written in plain English, reviewed by consultants and specialist nurses, and checked by CCLG's Information Advisory Group, which includes parents and survivors as well as clinicians. 

CCLG holds the PIF TICK, the UK-wide quality mark for health information, which it has been reassessed against every year since 2020.

The right information at the right moment

Most people go looking for answers in the hours after an appointment, when the questions they didn't think to ask are still fresh. That's usually when a search engine takes over, and it's rarely the moment for sifting trusted sources from less good ones.

The Ditto summary is where families are already reading and re-reading what was said. Putting a vetted link in that exact spot means the next step is a page written and reviewed by people who treat these conditions, rather than whatever comes up first online.
